Rainy Days In Oregon

November 21, 2011 in JB News, Stories

Good stories are hard to come by.

I have tried writing a few in my time which seem to go down well. Then I have members on this site who are more than capable of writing a great story (see the forum). But when it comes to the main man, that has to be John Strickland.

John wrote the great story series, “Motorcycle Messenger”. If you do not know this story, then you have been hiding away somewhere.

The stories are superb and a must read.

Well, John Strickland has been very busy writing a new story called “Rainy Days in Oregon” which I have seen the first draft of and must admit is a superb read.

So – as he finalises the story for us all, Jacketbound will be trying to publish the story in full here for all to read

So – stay tuned.

For those who simply can’t wait – Jim Stewarts website Houdini Connections has sections of the book online – but its only a taster of the full story. You can get to it HERE

Pigboys Photo Book

If you missed it’s release – there is a book worth mentioning. It’s by Brian Douglas Ahern and it’s a collection of farm hands, as he describes them, messing around in rubber. Well the book is well photographed, well presented and worth a look.

You can purchase the book through Amazon, as well as other book stores by following this LINK.

The success of the book has meant that number two has already been bought out and plans are being made for book number three. I know from reading his accounts the problems he had making the book and the way he self financed it’s printing – so I hope he has great success with the books.
